ReadyGele was founded in 2022 with one agenda, one garage, and a grand total of one sewing machine. I had realised more and more over time how I -- and many other Nigerians -- had failed to express and hand down our rich heritage to another generation, and I was devastated. "What Identity were my kids going to hold on to?" I asked myself. It turns out I wasn't the only one asking this question, so I took to a defining part of our culture -- our fashion -- to take up the mission to preserve Nigerian tradition, and empower a disconnected diaspora by reconnecting them with their heritage and identity -- one ReadyGele at a time.
